| City of Exchange | Status: Completed at HKSZ UABB 2012 Program: Exhibition Installation Location: Kowloon Park Collaboration with: Sherry Fung, Sunny Chan, Yip Chun Hang
‘The City of Exchange’ is a temporal transformation of the existing landscape into a ground of informative and experiential exchange for general public. The installation originated from an architectural thesis which study representational tool that reveals the dynamic of a city. In the midst of globalization, cities are under constant exposure of the arrival and departure. City has become the interface of the ‘come and go’. With series of mapping, Tsim Sha Tsui was reveiled as the most representational place in eyes of travelers in Hong Kong. The installation was mainly built in OSB timber board, a recycled material for construction hoarding. Stained to radiant red and white, the informative column stood out from the green hedges. Interactive devices are inserted inside the hedges with minimal disturbance to the plant. Flashing red light was constructed with LED strip, which consume minimum amount of energy during exhibition period.
